Free Proofing Service for White Papers, Proposals, and Case Studies
Wednesday, March 29, 2006
Good news for anyone writing White Papers, Proposals, or Case Studies.
I've joined Klariti Business Services as a Business Writing Consultant.
Even better, they are offering a free proofing and strategic writing services to all NEW customers.
The aim is to get new customers up and running fast and help them maximize their investments in the templates, especially sales-related documents such as white papers.
So, here is how it works:
1. Write your White Paper, Proposal, or Case Study using the Microsoft Word template you bought from Klariti or MySoftwareTemplates.com
2. Send it directly to me my address is on the site with a brief outline of your target audience, brand values, lead product, and rationale for writing this document.
I can send you a Briefing template if you need one. No charge!
3. I'll review it and highlight where it can be improved, for example:
· How to identify your target audience
· How to define your key message
· How to strengthen transitions
· Improving screenshots, graphic design and text layout
· Creating a sharper presentation
· Reducing wordiness. Eliminating clichés and buzzwords.
· Creating a Call To Action. In other words, getting the reader to do something call your Sales Manager, download a brochure, ask for a Trial version of your new product.
Otherwise, how can you tell if your document has been a success or not?
4. I'll send you these pointers in a Review Document (Microsoft Word).
5. You can then update your sales document with the feedback.
Like I said, there are no strings attached and maybe we all learn something in the process.
Regards,
Ivan

Some Pointers Before Buying Templates
There are a couple of points to consider when producing this type of document:
1. Who do you expect to read this?
Is it journalists, car enthusiasts, or those coming from a technical capacity, such as engine designers and system engineers.
2. Where will they read it?
If they will read it on the web, use less graphics. Concentrate on the text. Consider any possible bandwidth issues they may have.
3. Will they print it out?
If so, remember to include your physical address and low-call 1-800 telephone numbers.
I'd strongly suggest that you encourage your readers to print your sales collateral whenever possible.
With that said, you might want to look at Case Study 3 Pack we offer at:

You may also want to look at the White Paper template pack. Many of our customers seem to prefer their look and feel, especially the black and red designs.

Saturday, March 25, 2006
Jennifer LeClaire on www.EcommerceTimes.com reports that "PayPal Mobile makes it free to send money, though wireless carriers may charge fees for receiving text messages. If a call is dropped before payment details are complete, the user can send it again without worrying about paying twice, PayPal said."
"PayPal is testing it out from the peer-to-peer channel to see if it will work and gain consumer traction," Sucharita Mulpuru, senior analyst at Forrester Research, told the E-Commerce Times.
